Elitist
Just watching Newsnight and there's a piece about the US elections. They have an interview with a republican in one of the 'P' cities (Pittsburgh, Philly...) and he xplains the reason that Obama is not very popular amongst the working class is that he is elitist and too intelligent. What's that all about? Disagreeing with a man's politic because he is clverer than you? Jeez, I not only expect but demand the leader of any country I live in is cleverer than me otherwise it'd just be fucked.
In other news, the budget for the 2012 London Olympics has risen from just under £5 Billion, to somewhere over £11 Billion. Fuck me. A difference of 6 billion quid. I can understand losing a fiver or putting a drunken tenner on the gee gees or even putting the whole winning-the-olympics party's worth of stoli- and boli- for a coupla hundred people on the tab, but mis-calculating by 6 billion quid is just outright stupidity. They're making the clowns who did the budget for the Scottish parliament look like they deserve the Nobel prize for economics. (What's that prize all about then - here you go have prize for spending money well.)

OK, so I know it's Corporate Rock whore...but still a very good idea. (T)ennents, who've this year pulled out sponsoring Trip Tych and 'T' on the Fringe, and who've been, like it or not, an important part of the Scottish music scene for the last 10 years, have announced their latest venture.
